Best crypto exchanges, scored by one method
Where to swap crypto without opening an account: pick the direction, see who does it, what each one asks for and what decides the amount you receive. Services are scored by a — account requirements, rate locking, networks, support and whether the rules are stated before the transfer.
What this page says in short
- ChangeNOW is first with 100 of 100 — no account, a quote that can be locked and wide network coverage. The score comes from a published method, not from a deal.
- 11 of 13 services work without an account: the coins go from your wallet to your wallet and nobody holds a balance for you in between.
- 11 of 13 can lock the rate before you send. On a busy network that is the difference between the amount you were shown and the amount that arrives.
- Minimums differ by an order of magnitude — ChangeNOW from $2; SimpleSwap from about $0.50 on some assets; StealthEX shown in the form for the chosen pair. Just above the minimum the network fee takes a painful share.
- Stated swap times: ChangeNOW a few minutes, often about 1; SimpleSwap 1 to 60 minutes; StealthEX 5 to 30 minutes. The wait is the network confirming, not the service thinking.
- Numbers here are the ones services publish themselves, with the page and the date. Where a service publishes nothing, the table says so instead of showing an invented figure.

Each figure is what the service states on its own pages; the page and the date are on that service's review. «Not published» means exactly that — we do not fill such a cell with a guess.
Not in this table: Exolix, LetsExchange, Godex, SwapSpace, Swapzone, FixedFloat — these publish none of the figures above on their own pages. That is a fact about them too, and it is why the method scores «rules stated up front».

Rates are the market reference of 22 September 2026, not an offer: the final number is named by the service at the quote step, after its spread and the network fee.
Why ChangeNOW is first
ChangeNOW scores 100 of 100: no account to open, a fixed rate available before the transfer and wide network coverage, including the cheap ones. That is what the method weighs highest — not the size of the brand.
Picks by what matters to you
How the score is built
| Criterion | Weight | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| No account needed | 30 | A swap that needs no sign-up leaves no balance to freeze. |
| Fixed rate available | 25 | A locked quote protects the payout when the network is slow. |
| Networks covered | 20 | Cheap networks (TRC-20, BEP-20) decide the final amount. |
| Support reachable | 15 | A stuck transfer is resolved by people, not by a status page. |
| Rules stated up front | 10 | AML and limits said before the transfer, not after. |
| Coins supported | 8 | A pair that is not listed cannot be swapped at any rate. |
| Years in operation | 6 | A service that survived two market cycles has a track record. |
A service that publishes no number is not given an invented one: the table compares what can be checked.
How to choose without reading all of this
Three questions decide it, and they are not about the brand.
- Do you want an account? An account means verification and a balance held by someone else; no account means the coins never stop moving. Everything in the top half of the table above works without one.
- How long will the transfer take? On a congested network a floating rate can move while you wait. If the amount matters, take a service that locks the quote.
- Which network does your wallet support? This decides the fee more than the service does: the same stablecoin over TRC-20 and over ERC-20 is the same coin and a different bill.
What eats the amount you receive
The quote is not the whole story, and the difference is rarely where people look for it.
- The network fee is deducted at payout and depends on the chain, not on the service. It is the single largest difference on small transfers.
- The spread sits inside the quote. That is why no honest table here prints «0.5 %»: the number moves, and a fixed figure would be out of date the day it was written.
- The rate type. A locked quote costs slightly more — that difference is the price of certainty, not a hidden fee.
- The minimum. Below it the swap does not start; just above it the network fee can take a painful share of the payout.
What was actually checked
13 services, 7 criteria, 3 of them publishing exact figures for minimums or fees. Every fact on this site comes from the service's own pages — last read 2026-09-22, and the page it was taken from is printed on that service's review.
What we do not do: invent a number to fill a cell, rank by who pays more, or quote user reviews we did not collect. When a service stops publishing something, the cell goes back to «not published» — that is also a fact about the service.
Found a number that is wrong?
Write to [email protected] and say which page. Corrections go in the same day we confirm them, and the check date on the page changes with them. What else the editors answer for is on the contact page.
Considered and left out
A list that hides what was rejected looks shorter than the work behind it. These were looked at and did not make the table:
| Not listed | Why |
|---|---|
| P2P desks inside big exchanges | The counterparty is another person, not the service, and the rules change per deal — there is nothing stable to score. |
| Telegram swap bots | No published terms and no way to check who is behind them; a comparison here would be a guess dressed as a score. |
| Bridges between chains | They move the same asset between networks rather than swap one coin for another — a different job with different risks. |
| Services that were unreachable at the time of the check | A page that does not open cannot be verified, and scoring it from memory is how wrong numbers get published. |
Questions people ask before the first swap
Is a swap without an account legal?
Yes. An account is a business decision, not a legal requirement; services that work without one still apply AML rules to flagged transfers, and they say so before you send.
Why do two services quote different amounts for the same pair?
Because each takes liquidity from its own set of venues and keeps its own spread. On liquid pairs the gap is small; on rare coins it is the reason to compare at all.
What happens if the transfer gets stuck?
It is almost always the network, not the service — confirmations take longer under load. That is why «support reachable» is a scored criterion here: waiting is tolerable when someone answers.
Can I get my coins back if I sent the wrong network?
Usually not. This is the one mistake no service can undo for you, and it is why the network list is checked before the amount.
