What an AML-flagged transfer means and what to do

Updated 22 September 2026 · compiled by the editorial team from the services' own pages

Services that need no account still run AML checks on the coins that arrive. Most transfers pass without anyone noticing; a flagged one is held and verification is requested.

A flag is not an accusation. It usually means the coins passed through an address on a sanctions or mixer list at some point in their history — possibly several owners before you.

We earn a commission when you open an exchange through the links on this page. It does not change your rate and does not move anyone up the list — the ranking follows the published method. One service in the table is our own: it is marked «our service», scored by the same criteria and can be checked the same way. How this site is funded

Questions

Does a flag mean I did something wrong?

No. It usually means the coins passed a listed address at some point in their history, possibly long before you.

Can I avoid checks entirely?

No service promises that — the honest ones publish when checks are run, and that is a scored criterion here.
